Job: IRC23650 Shipping Manager

·         Responsible for overseeing all inbound and outbound waste/hazmat shipments by all modes of transportation and managing Brokerage Services.

·         Ensures compliance with all packaging requirements, marking/labeling/placarding of packages, and associated documentation in relation to applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, ordinances and rules governing shipments to/from the facility.

·         Ensures shipping and receiving personnel are trained and qualified in accordance with on-site qualification requirements, as well as federal and regulatory training requirements.

·         Ensures all shipping and receiving documentation is transmitted to document control for retention purposes.

·         Ensures all applicable data input into the EWT database system is complete and accurate.

·         Ensures all shipping and receiving processes are kept current with quality assurance and quality control requirements in accordance with site licenses and permits.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

·         Detailed knowledge of federal, state and local laws, regulations, ordinances and rules governing shipping and receiving

·         Working knowledge of hazardous material regulations and profiling as it pertains to shipping and receiving

·         Effective verbal, written, and leadership communication skills

·         Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Education ·         Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience in science, engineering, or mathematics	Certifications ·         Must be a certified EnergySolutions Broker
Required Experience ·         Minimum of 4 years experience in the nuclear field with previous experience in hazmat transportation	Preferred Experience ·         Shipping programs; e.g. EWT, RADMAN, LowTrack, eMWaste
