Description

·         Creates and updates daily tracking reports for railcars and containers for management project review.  Supports the billing and invoicing process, and provides accrual information to accounting. Sorts, codes, approves and processes vendor invoices in a timely manner for payment.  Assists with administrative duties to support management as needed.

·         Performs tracking for logistics equipment including railcars, containers, etc. and coordinates repairs and procurement as needed.

·         Maintains project and equipment files and databases. Ensures data entry is timely, complete and accurate.

·         Creates and updates daily reports to ensure management is kept current using the logistics databases.

·         Ensures cars and containers are being tracked using the logistics database.

·         Oversees information in the container tracking database.

·         Tracks containers for various projects, reviews rental and railroad invoices for accuracy and to process them for payment.

·         Processes vendor invoices and ensures accuracy.  Processes purchase orders as needed and tracks order to completion.

·         Works with vendors to resolve issues.

·         Assists with project control data capture and tracks financial data.

·         Ensures accuracy and completeness of month end and monthly forecasting data.  Ensures monthly close schedule is met.

·         Reviews rail billing information as submitted on railroad websites.

·         Provides back-up for rail billing and coordinates Ad Valurm tax preparation as needed.

·         Provides administrative support as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

·         Strong organizational skills

·         Attention to detail

·         Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and other web-based applications such as ShipXpress

Minimum Qualifications and Years of Experience

Education

·         High School diploma or GED required.  Associates degree preferred.

 

Certifications

·         None required

 

Required Experience

·         3 years experience

 

Preferred Experience

·         5 years experience
