Job: IRC22687 Terminal Manager

·         Manages a transportation terminal, including dispatch and transportation equipment.

·         Supervises company drivers and office personnel.

·         Dispatches all company drivers to ensure maximum utilization.

·         Analyzes available equipment, driver’s available hours and customer requirements to ensure deliveries and pickups are completed on time.

·         Ensures that services and infrastructure are able to deliver the agreed capacity and performance targets in a cost effective and timely manner.

·         Meets with existing and potential customers to help build a working relationship.

·         Plans alternate equipment for tractor breakdowns.

·         Scans documents, trip reports and maintenance files into the Synergize system.

·         Monitors utilization of drivers and equipment.

·         Approves all direct reports timesheets to ensure accurate compensation.

·         Approves all company driver expense payments to ensure accurate compensation.

·         Acts as a point of contact for after-hours tractor breakdowns.

·         Following company recruiting process, recruits company drivers to expand the pool of drivers.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

·         Ability to work with little supervision

·         Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills

·         General knowledge of Department Of Transportation requirement 49CFR (Code of Federal Regulations)

·         General knowledge of state and local permits

·         Ability to handle a large volume of calls

·         Must have effective communication skills
